The couple has one daughter who just celebrated her first birthday. The Altuve’s proudly displayed the festivities on social media. But, prior to the birth of their first daughter in 2016, Nina had a good thing going. She spent time doing pretty much whatever she wanted. Ahhh, the pre-kids days. It’s kind of rare to see a married player wife without kids, and this one goes to lots of baseball games, travels, eats out all the time, you name it. Whenever Jose has a day off, they go and do something fun. I saw one picture where they’re simply lounging in the pool and taking in some rays. Since Jose is 5’5″ he’s about the same height as Nina.
Nina had the opportunity to go paragliding with one of her relatives. That’s the kind of thing I’m talking about when I say fun activities. Jose Altuve’s wife certainly has a life of her own when she’s not with Jose. Some of the most exotic locations the couple frequented this year included Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. That is one of the first times I’ve seen a professional sports couple vacation to the DR. Generally it’s Cabo all the way. The also found their way to Disney World a few months later. I always tell my own girlfriend that Disney World is a magical place for all ages, but she doesn’t believe me. The amount of times I see pro sports couples go there tells me otherwise.
The vacations don’t end there!
Of course, Jose Altuve’s wife Nina had the pleasure of hitting up that all-important couples vacation destination: Paris. At some point, it’s almost a rite of passage for sports couples to go to Paris and take a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower. This was about four years ago that Nina went. But I don’t actually have confirmation that Jose was there with her. She may have just gone alone or with friends. Candidly it looked to be a repeat trip for her. She has an earlier picture in front of the tower. Basically all of their activities center around either the beach or traveling somewhere, though the paragliding was also something they’ve done together as a couple. It’s just good vibes all around for an unmarried sports couple. The world is the lady’s playground.
