Jamie Donaldson’s wife Kat Donaldson is your old-fashioned lovely Irish lady. The couple have so far had two kids: a son named Max and an infant girl named Isla. Gotta love those names. The couple have also credited the birth of their son Max to Donaldson’s win at the Irish Open in 2012. They claim it allowed him to perform better somehow. I guess there could be something to that since Jamie never had a win in almost 13 years prior to that.
Well, he’s doing better now. Give Max the credit. Jamie Donaldson’s wife Kat Donaldson designed the home they live in, apparently. She’s a classy lady. They live together in an area called Prestbury, which is a farming community south of Manchester. She busies herself with the little ones and enjoys a proper cup of English tea.
It’s a charming life there in Prestbury (pronounced Prest-bree). Kat graduated with a degree in international business and Spanish. Maybe she thought she was going to live in Spain and do some wheeling and dealing, but now her wheeling is to the grocery store to pick up baby food. The couple joke about a “nappy factor,” which means having babies makes you a better golfer, and that’s kind of the hook of their relationship with the media.
Jamie Donaldson’s wife Kat Donaldson also made the decision recently that it would be alright to move to America into a gated community where a bunch of other pro golfers live. I believe they’re still retaining their home in Britain as well. This may or may not have something to do with taxes, but that’s mere speculation. The couple have raked in something like 3 million pounds in two years based on a tally of Jamie’s winnings, so the move isn’t too bad a financial strain for them. I guess if you’re Kat, you’re hoping for more winning swipes all the time.
