Joc Pederson’s wife Kelsey Pederson has given birth to the couple’s first child. The birth came smack dab in the middle of the NLCS, but fortunately on an off day. Thank god for the off days.
Joc took to Instagram to announce the birth of their daughter, Poppy. Poppy came in weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
When Joc took the plate for Monday’s game 3, his walkup music changed to “Big Poppa,” in her honor. Cool move, and one to remember.

Joc Pederson’s girlfriend Kelsey Williams graduated from Duke University in 2014. She stands a towering 5’11” and played volleyball all four years of college. She was born in North Carolina but grew up in a town called Pleasanton, California. Kelsey is now 23 years old, and she is also the sister of Avery and Marin Williams. Joc showed up at a few events with her like the Dodgers Blue Diamond Gala in July of 2016. She wore a long dress and smile for cameras with Joc. I’ve also seen a picture of her with Joc where she wore a Carolina Panthers jersey. Naturally, that means she still has loyalty for North Carolina. Saying she grew up in California may not be entirely accurate.
Joc certainly does not post pictures of Kelsey on social media. Like many well-known athletes, he keeps his professional life separate from his personal life. However, Joc does post pictures of himself fishing. I wonder if Joc Pederson’s girlfriend Kelsey likes to fish? It’s entirely possible she fishes since she spent time in North Carolina. I think of that state as a fishing state for some reason. The couple take care of a big goofy bulldog named Roc. The only time Kelsey showed up in one of his social media posts was as a camera operator. He played ping pong and she laughed. Maybe the idea is to keep her hidden so he can bask in the attention of all the young female fans? It’s the John Lennon mid 60’s approach.
I couldn’t find Kelsey’s social media so I don’t really know what she does in her spare time. I do know, however, that she is known by many of Joc’s teammates. You don’t take a girl to an official Dodgers function without her meeting some teammates. So Joc Pederson’s girlfriend does to a bunch of home games. Ladies, he’s single until he unveils her in a social media photo!
