Jimmy Nelson’s wife Melissa Nelson married him in December of 2016 and became engaged in March of that year. I read in a Brewers blog that Jimmy proposed at her sister’s house at the end of saying grace. Honestly, that sounds super awkward, but he says she felt happy and surprised. I can only imagine. Jimmy Nelson’s wife shared a picture of their Alaskan Klee Kai dog in March of 2017. Then I realized she maintains a separate account just for the dog. This account contains a grand total of 217 pictures of him. Yes, Melissa has a lot of extra time on her hands! The dog’s name is Kane, and he looks sort of like a Husky mixed with a fox. In July of 2017, Melissa joined other player wives and girlfriends on a trip to New York City to watch the Brewers take on the Yankees. She posted many pictures on her blog and also talked about going to an Italian restaurant with Jimmy and eating tons of pasta.
