Alex Rodriguez’s girlfriend Anne Wojcicki is the former wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin. That alone sort of makes her really famous. She and Sergey were gossip bait because of the circumstances of their divorce. Sergey is alleged to have had an affair with some twenty-something who was the spokesperson for Google Glass. The alleged side piece is cute and all but this article is certainly not going to dwell on her when there’s plenty to talk about with Anne. Honestly, Anne’s a very cool woman. I think she’s too good for Rodriguez, but I don’t know the guy so I could be wrong. Let me explain where I’m coming from…
Anne Wojcicki is a brilliant biologist and entrepreneur. She started a company that takes DNA samples for a fee and sends back a complete genetic report that tells you all about your genes. I think it’s genius. In the future this sort of information will become more commonplace and commodified. Alex Rodriguez’s girlfriend is ahead of the game. At least she came up with a truly salable business model and not a pair of fake x-ray specs. Granted, Brin’s initial idea was a singularly important game-changer, but Google Glass is regarded now as a laughingstock. The money Anne raised for her company’s start exceeded 110,000,000 dollars. I can see why, too. It’s a fantastic idea, and she knows how to implement it.
Again, I don’t think this relationship will last too long. I think Anne will get bored with Alex after a few months. I’m sorry but she is intellectually way out of Alex’s league. Call me a jerk but this seems obvious. Alex Rodriguez’s girlfriend Anne Wojcicki is certainly a type-A overachiever, and Rodriguez has that in common with her. I may be underestimating Alex’s cerebral prowess. Anne grew up in a highly educated Ivy League type of family. She attended Yale and became a health care consultant and analyst in San Francisco. She quit the profession in 2000 and by 2006 had started her own company. She’s basically never looked back. Anne never needed the money from her relationship with Sergey Brin, but hey it can’t hurt right?
