UPDATE: 12/02/2011: Rogers has now been sentenced to 60 days in prison and 3 years probation following the domestic assault charges outlined below. Rogers is also barred from contacting his wife until he completes a domestic assault class, and until the parole officer clears him to contact his family.

10/25/2011: Brett Rogers is back in cuffs again. After pleading guilty to felony third degree assault charges stemming from the June incident with his wife, he violated the conditions pre-sentence release. He was arrested in Apple Valley, MN on 10/24/2011. The reason for the violation has yet to be disclosed.

In a move that is quite common to domestic assault situations, Tiana Rogers is apparently refusing to allow officers to photograph her injuries and tell any and all who will listen that the altercation was her fault. I’m not sure what she could have done that would have warranted being choked to the point of unconsciousness…
Of Strikeforce “fame”, Brett “The Grim” Rogers’ wife is Tiuana Rogers (or Tee). Little is known about Tiana Rogers, at least until the news broke last night that Brett was charged with multiple felonies for assaulting his wife, including “assault in the third degree, domestic assault by strangulation and pattern of stalking conduct”. Rogers admitted to police that he had been drinking (which apparently wasn’t necessary, since his breath reeked) but claimed that his wife punched him first and that he was forced to return the force.
This “return of force” apparently included what one neighbor described as Rogers punching Tiuana Rogers in the head multiple times while she was on the ground. Another neighbor alleges he saw Tee Rogers with blood streaming from her face and possibly missing a tooth. There are also several reports that claim Brett Rogers strangled his wife to the point that she actually passed out. At some point, one of Brett Rogers’ daughters tried to interfere to help her mother, no word as to whether the child was struck at all – but another daughter did confirm to police that Bretty has hit them before. A son was also present at the house while all this went down.
Some of the “editors” at Wikipedia apparently thought this whole situation was funny and credited Brett Rogers with his 12th victory, over his wife. See the screenshot to the right, as this will likely be changed eventually by another “editor”.
