Holly Holm’s husband Jeff Kirkpatrick has six posts on his Instagram account, which he started just a few weeks ago as of this writing. Hey, I guess now that Holly’s a big star he has more cool stuff to show off, right? I mean, I’ve got an Instagram, but it’s boring as hell. I’m not jetting around the world to huge arenas and stuff. I’m sitting here talking to you about Jeff Kirkpatrick!
Recently, Holly Holm’s husband accompanied her to Alburquerque (the goofiest spelled city in America) to attend a parade they threw for her. Since Holly’s win, Jeff has said that people doubted her before the win because she’d only had a boxing career, but he said he never had a doubt in his mind that she’d beat Ronda. Well, that’s quite convenient of him to say now that she’s beaten Ronda, but we’ll give it to him. Jeff went nuts when Holly knocked out Ronda, he says. Security had to stop him from jumping over the gate to get in the ring and be all excited and victorious with her. He added that he would’ve bet money on Holly if he were a betting man. Again, revisionist history, but I guess you’ve got to say this kind of thing if you’re married to the fighter, right?
The couple got married in Cancun back in 2012. I see this all the time: couples go to a honeymoon-type of destination to get married rather than getting married where they’re from and then going to the honeymoon-type destination. Oh well, I guess it’s like a passive-aggressive test to see which of your friends and family are going to really commit to your friendship? Why not just be aggressive-aggressive though and tell everyone “Our wedding is taking place in Australia as a test to see who we will keep as friends and who we will cast aside.” I’m just kidding, of course Cancun is a lovely place and all were welcome to attend their little honeymoon/wedding. Jeff’s a really supportive husband and says all the right things when it comes to Ronda Rousey as well. He was quoted: “All respect to Ronda. Holly has looked up to Ronda.” Well, she seemed to be looking down at her at the end of the fight. Burnage…
