Being married while living in the public eye is never an easy thing. And, Ryan Newman’s wife Krissie Newman is proof that it doesn’t always work out.
Separation announced, 2020
On February 13, 2020, Ryan took to his social media to tweet out the following statement:
“After 16 years of marriage, Krissie and I have decided to amicably separate. We will continue to jointly raise our girls, while remaining friends and continuing to work together supporting Rescue Ranch.
Thank you for the years of support and friendship. We ask that our daughters’ privacy be respected at this time.

Ryan Newman’s wife first came into the picture via blind date. Krissie’s grandmother and a friend from her church played matchmaker and the rest was history. The two began dating in 2001, and were married January 3, 2004. They have two daughters together.
Ryan Newman’s wife: Degree & Philanthropic work.
Ryan Newman’s wife Krissie Newman (formerly Krissie Boyle) has a degree in Criminal Science. She currently spends her time in philanthropic efforts including serving on the board of The Humane Society of Catawba County and as the co founder of the Ryan Newman Foundation. The Ryan Newman Foundation had three distinct missions during it’s run:
- To raise awareness of the benefits of having their pets spayed or neutered. (The pair are strongly committed to animals, and have saved five dogs from kill shelters that they care for themselves.)
- To educate people about the value of nature conservation for the enjoyment of future generations.
- To raise money for the Rich Vogley Scholarship foundation, which provides scholarships for those interested in auto racing careers. Ryan himself was a recipient of a scholarship from this foundation
Their commitment to animals did not waver however. It does not appear that the Ryan Newman Foundation continues to operate. However, it’s clear they’ve continued their efforts through the Rescue Ranch.
The Rescue Ranch
Rescue Ranch is a lofty effort and another 501(c)(3) charity run by the Newman’s.
Formed in 2012 on 87 acres in Statesville, North Carolina, Rescue Ranch is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit animal welfare organization founded by Krissie Newman and her husband, NASCAR driver Ryan Newman. Rescue Ranch promotes humane education by focusing on rescuing on a fundamental level through hands-on learning and care for animals.
Currently, Rescue Ranch offers school, Scout and camp programs along with birthday parties, a 10,000 sq/ft inclusive playground, and special events. The dedication and blessing of the portion of land earmarked for our Rescue Ranch Memorial Garden took place September 22, 2016 and development is underway. Future plans include nature hiking and walking education trails, a 24-hour emergency veterinarian clinic with an extern program, a therapeutic riding program, and a rescue foster adoption program.
