Trae Young’s girlfriend Shelby Miller is loving life. And when you’re dating the new King of Atlanta, who wouldn’t?

Who else? Matt Ryan? Terry Pendleton? Steve Avery? Ludacris? (Please don’t bring up Ronald Acuna Jr., because that ruins my narrative). Honestly though, even Acuna may cede that title after the performance Trae is putting together in the 2021 NBA playoffs. He silenced New York, and is pushing the 1 seed Sixers to the brink in the second round. And, when you consider that Trae is firmly inserting his name into the national Zeitgeist, why wouldn’t Trae Young’s girlfriend be enjoying the ride?
Shelby has been with Trae since their days at Oklahoma, reportedly as far back as 2018. Trae Young’s girlfriend was a member of the cheerleading team, while Trae was, get this, playing basketball. I feel like there’s this super antiquated rule about players and cheerleaders not being allowed to fraternize. What are we doing people – be with whoever the hell you want to be with!
Thank god for the COVID roommate
Since Oklahome, Shelby and Trae are living in Atlanta. Based on their social media feed, they were inseparable during COVID lockdowns. Trae hopped in on a few of her TikTok videos, which,… credit my dude. I don’t get TikTok, but I also freely admit I’m probably outside their target demo. Hoop Life Central grabbed a Q&A from home where Trae answered some questions. While Trae Young’s girlfriend, AKA Chef Shelby was cooking up some fries and bacon (and presumably more), Trae fielded burning issues (all presented via one of those Instagram filter question randomizer thingys). Shelby apparently wants three kids, and hasn’t been to the gym in three weeks. No shame there.
Clearly Shelby is along for the ride. She didn’t hate the hate Trae took while he tore up MSG, noting they don’t chant negativity at guys who don’t matter. One hell of an outlook on what’s gotta be hard for anyone to hear.
