Justin Jackson’s girlfriend Brooke Copeland is an amazing woman.
You don’t believe us? Well, let him tell you all about it. It’s becoming a more common theme as we review the key players of the 2017 NCAA tournament. First of all, basketball players love dating basketball players. And they seem to love deeply. While Justin Jackson’s girlfriend may soon be Justin Jackson’s wife soon enough, let’s get college out of the way guys.
Fortunately for Justin and Brooke, there will be one common thread in that college experience. Basketball and not just run of the mill basketball,… oh no we’re talking intense D-1 basketball. Justin Jackson’s girlfriend plays for Florida. Brooke is a 6’2″ senior. While her stats aren’t insane, Brooke has the fifth most minutes on the Gators basketball squad. Clearly, that’s a player the coach trusts, and relies on to help his roster.
But, back to Jackson. In that Player’s Tribune article we shared earlier, he explains Brooke better than we ever could.
I also play for someone special. Her name is Brooke Copeland, and if she can put up with me a little bit longer, I hope we will get married one day. We’ve been together for a couple of years now, and I’ve been blessed by God to have her in my life. … She’s taught me the importance of humility and has made me realize how meaningful it is to be a good friend and she’s also moved me closer to God.
God and faith are clearly driving forces in both of their lives. Brooke’s bio highlights that even further. She’s been on multiple mission work trips, including Israel and Thailand as recently as May of 2016. Brooke’s baptism took place in the same river Jesus had his baptism.
It seems like it happens all the time for religious people, but Brooke is incredibly charitable. Honestly, the mission work alone supports that sentence. But, her work with various charities and people with special needs drive that point home. Finally on her basketball bio, her “favorite people in the whole world are Down Syndrome or just about any type of special needs person”.
A truly remarkable couple on and off the court. Best of luck to both of them together and separately.
