Recently named the 2012 ACC Coach of the Year, Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton has his ‘Noles poised for their deepest March Madness run in a very long run.
Despite all this, he and his wife Claudette continue to maintain their low profile. Not much is known about Ms. Hamilton beyond her name. We know they met and married in college (University of Tennessee at Martin) and have two adult children, ages 26 and 41. For only having two kids that seems like one heck of a gap in ages.
Both Leonard and Claudette are active members of their church community. In the past, she has agreed to serve as a teaching leader for a new evening women’s class for Bible Study Fellowship International.
Leonard’s hard work as a coach has clearly paid off, but he realizes his wife was working just as hard at home. “I come home for family time sometimes, and I’m all alone because they’ve gotten on with their life. I’ve been raising other folks’ kids, and my wife has been raising mine.”
Because of the big gap in ages between their two kids, Claudette was doing a good job raising kids for 30 straight years. Impressive woman to us.
