Aqib Talib’s wife Gypsy Benitez married him on March 26 of 2016. Now, ESPN actually jumped the gun and referred to Gypsy as Aqib Talib’s wife in an article from October of 2014. But, we’re here to clear that up for everybody (‘cuz clarify and solve problems is just what I do, people). I’m also here to tell you a bit about them because the world is just clamoring for more info about Gypsy and Aqib.
A star studded wedding affair
Yes, Aqib Talib’s wife Gypsy Benitez was treated to a lavish wedding ceremony, in front of plenty of NFL stars. The wedding finally took place after years of dating, and journeys through Tampa Bay, New England, and Denver. The Patriots were well represented at the wedding. Jerod Mayo, Vince Wilfork, LaGarrette Blount, and Devin McCourty were all there, just to name a few. Von Miller, Chris Harris Jr., and Emmanuel Sanders headlined the Broncos attendee list.
Gypsy Benitez has a tough gig
Aqib Talib’s wife classifies her own self as a “stay at home parent”. And, that’s kind of what the doctor orders when you’ve got to take care of three kids. My wife stays home with our three kids. I have absolutely no idea how she does it. Their youngest son is named Jabril. And, with three kids, Aqib is in full-on earn mode. He’s come a long way since his days in high school getting busted for breaking and entering (out of boredom). Hey, kids do dumb stuff, and now that he’s not a kid, he attributes a lot of his personal growth to guess who– the lovely and charming Gypsy Benitez. Aqib Talib’s girlfriend still manages to find the time to get herself looking right and go out for a night on the town away from the kids. I prefer her puffy ponytail style myself, although don’t let her catch you calling it a mop-top!
As is always the case, Aqib Talib’s wife also watches all the games. Attending them is a little harder with three kids as opposed to one. Just once, I’d like to find a player wife or girlfriend that never watches or attends games. It’d be a radical departure from the theme of supporting one’s spouse, but it’d also be pretty rock & roll. This pair still attends parties and refuse to dress like the stereotypical married parents of three. And parties plus clothes is basically the litmus stick for measuring cool in a couple that has three kids. Hey, the guy’s making millions so you can hire a nanny when you want to go out and hit the classy restaurants.
