Rob Ninkovich’s wife Paige Ninkovich had a jump start on all of us, but we’re catching up. The cult hero to the Foxboro faithful is filling the shoes left void with the departure of the Vrabel’s, McGinest’s and Bruschi’s of the world. He may not be a Pro Bowler quite yet, but he’s becoming one of those guys you expect to see making a clutch play in a clutch moment. After dropping Mark Sanchez and the Jets for the first ever walkoff sack/forced fumble/fumble recovery under the new NFL playoff rules earlier in the year, Ninkovich’s New England lore was born. While we definitely followed and appreciated him for the years prior, this brought him to a whole new level.
As we’ve learned time and time again on this site, a new level on the field comes a new level of interest off the field. However, that’s not so much the case when it comes to Rob Ninkovich’s wife Paige Ninkovich. Rob met Paige at a local bar in New Orleans during his rookie season. At the time, Ninkovich was a little known, and seldom used defensive backup in his first stint with the Saints (though he did return a couple seasons later as a long snapper). Rob clearly didn’t need his celebrity status to convince the former Paige Popich to marry him, as the two stayed together through multiple teams, waivers, and injuries. The couple married in New Orleans on June 29, 2012.
Not a ton is known about Paige, but she is a nurse that went to LSU and is originally from Gretna, LA. She has been involved in a number of charity events organized and hosted by the New England Patriots Wives & Girlfriends.
