According to the New York Post, sources close to Jessica Simpson’s fiancee Eric Johnson reveal that Jessica is gearing up to reveal to a TBD magazine that she is pregnant with both of their first child. While they has yet to be a public announcement, Jessica has reportedly been sharing the happy news with friends and family.
The two began dating in May, and happily announced their engagement on November 14, 2010.
OK, so the timing might be a bit suspect here.
This news was released less than 10 days after Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey announced his engagement to long time girlfriend Vanessa Minillo. Jessica appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this week, and went out of her way to make it clear that she harbored no hard feelings towards Nick and wished him and Vanessa only the best.
Eric is a Yale graduate. Jessica is not.
