Stephon Tuitt’s wife Brittany Tuitt is the mother of their son. They named him Payne, and he is three years young. As of this writing, they did not yet marry. However, that will change very soon. Since he proposed in January, we can expect a 2018 ceremony after the season wraps up. An interesting note: Brittany’s maiden name is Brittany Payne. Yes, they also named their son Payne as a first name. I like this strategy a lot. If you’re a woman and change your last name via marriage, you can still sort of preserve your maiden name. All you have to do is name your kid your maiden name!
In March, the couple celebrated their kid’s birthday in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Stephon Tuitt’s wife smiled big for the photo with him and Payne. Guess who else joined them? Fellow defensive end Cam Heyward and his entire family also chilled with them. People on social media seemed to like that idea in the comments section. You can bet Steelers fans love to see their players bond off the field. It does seem to give them a sense of trust and communication. Those traits do also matter in games.
ESPNĀ briefly posted about Stephon Tuitt’s wife and their engagement. Was it remarkable? Not in my opinion. However, he did choose a time that felt right to him. Apparently both Stephon and Brittany hosted their families for the 2016 week 7 game against Cleveland. The Steelers won in overtime, and Stephon took a knee and proposed on Heinz Field after the match. He obviously told a friend to photograph the occasion. They did a good job except for the random fan in the background also snapping a picture. Brittany held Payne in her arm (he was still only 2) and held her other hand to her mouth. She appeared surprised and elated in that classic proposal way.
