Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab is the TV host and radio personality. She hosts a few MTV shows like The Real World Aftershow and a show called Girl Code. The first one is exactly what it sounds like: a kind of post-game analysis show but for The Real World. It’s basically The Real World version of The Talking Dead. The other one is a kind of mash-up talk-show about subjects that revolve around women and women’s interest. Such subjects include makeup, dieting, ex-boyfriends, and pregnancy scares. You get the idea.
Can we talk about the real high light of her resume?
Everyone is going to think this is us being flip, and I promise you it is not. Nessa hosted the Snooki & JWoww Aftershow. I swear on my children’s lives, I think that’s fantastic. That show was absolutely the peak of reality TV, coming on the heels of the peak of reality TV in Jersey Shore. It seems like a silly insignificant show, but it’s awesome escapism in a time when a lot of people needed escapism.
Radio gigs, too!
Nessa is also a radio show host and radio personality on Hot 97 in New York City. Between the radio and frequent MTV jobs, she meets a lot of celebrities and interviews them all. It makes sense that Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend kept their relationship under wraps for a few months. Nobody wants to unveil too early and break up a day afterward. Their official unveiling came at a charity event for kids called the Valentine Hearts fundraiser, whose purpose is to raise money for kids with heart conditions.
One of the more interesting recent interviews that Nessa was sure to share snippets of was her interview with Wiz Khalifa on the heels of a feud/twitter attention-campaign with Kanye West. Nessa asked Wiz if they were going to collaborate and possibly make music, and Wiz said “We’re focusing on friendship. Let’s focus on being friends first!” I guess the implication was it was unlikely that Wiz and Kanye would collaborate since they hate each other but pretend to like each other? Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab is probably better known in the hip hop community than him. She’s sort of like a hub that hip hop stars go to in order to promote stuff. She’s got a good career going.
Loyal to Kaepernick and the cause
Obviously, it goes without saying that being Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend comes with plenty of questions about her position on his stance against social injustice. And Nessa support Kaep through and through. At his NFL workout in November of 2019, Nessa was right there cheering on Colin Kaepernick as he showed the league he’s still ready willing and able to suit up yet again. Is the league ready to,… forgive (?) … him for taking the wildly unpopular opinion that people shouldn’t be racists? Imagine that.
