Try to say it with me folks. Sergei Bobrovsky’s wife Olga Bobrovskaya. It’s a mouthful. And my WordPress readability plugin to write this post, HATES that sentence. So, from here on out, we’re going to try to shorten things up. Sergei Bobrovsky’s wife Olga Bobrovkaya will hence to fore be referred to as Olga. You guys good with that? K.
Anyways, on to the post!
Yes folks, it’s time. It’s time everyone paid attention to the Columbus Blue Jackets. And, what better place to start than with the netminder. Sergei is probably the most beloved Russian in Ohio history. The goalie holding things down for the upstart Blue Jackets, on especially after knocking off the juggernaut Tampa Bay Lightning, is a folk hero. Sergei Bobrovsky is affectionately known as Bob by those around him, including teammates and fans.
Sergei Bobrovsky’s wife, Olga, entered the picture officially in 2011. The two married on August 16, 2011, which came after his first year in the NHL. Given the challenging immigration process (even before Trump), imagine this was a logistical godsend for them.
Big thanks to my family! My wife Olga! My parents! It's been a privilege to share this special moment! Very proud that I am a Blue Jacket💪💪 pic.twitter.com/2MbObsYKuQ

Sergei Bobrovsky’s wife is the hero of his social media
(OK, we’ll really start calling her Olga now. We hit our SEO). Anyways, it’s not all that often that professional athletes prominently feature their significant others. Imagine for a lot of those dudes, it makes road,… ummm… how do we put this? I imagine for those guys who hide their spouse,… it makes “dating” on the road tougher. Was that diplomatic enough?
Anyways, when it comes to Olga that’s clearly not the case. Sergei clearly loves his wife, and puts her front and center on both Twitter and Instagram. She’s publicly thanked, called his princess, and gets the ever effective single heart emoji on a regular basis. In a particularly helpful piece of kismet, he also translates all his Russian captions into English for us. Thanks Sergei.
These two are glove travelers and enjoying the hell out of their 20s (and 30s). It does not appear that they have kids yet, and they’re taking full advantage on their adventures, across the globe.
And, as a Bruins fan – thanks Sergei. Thrilled to see the Lightning gone in four games!
