Vladimir Tarasenko’s wife Yana Tarasenko is the star of his Instagram. And frankly, when you read about the Tarasenko’s, it’s clear that Yana is the featured star of his universe
That was cheesy. We know, we know.
But seriously, Vladimir Tarasenko’s wife is one of the many things he’s incredibly proud of. In a feature piece on ESPN.com, Tarasenko gleefully shows off his house and family. The entire Tarasenko clan is thrilled to be putting down roots in the St. Louis area.
“You came [to our house] and you probably didn’t know what we’d be like,” Tarasenko says. “But you have four non-angry Russians, at least.” He pauses and corrects himself: “Three and a half non-angry Russians,” noting that Aleksandr was born in the U.S.
“We’re not drinking vodka, shooting bears at home. This is us.”
Three and a half Russians?
Vladimir Tarasenko’s wife Yana Tarasenko also hails from mother Russia. They came to the States with Vladimir. Their youngest son, Aleksandr was born in April of 2016. Vladimir’s stepson, and Yana’s son Mark was born in 2006 and also lives with the family outside St. Louis. The family converted their basement into a fully functional rink, so the whole family can have time together playing the game they love. Tarasenko talked about it, and other topics on family life to StL Mag,
On running a tight ship: “Yana and I are both fairly strict and maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes rules about bedtime and meals. The kids can get upset with the schedule and regimen, but we also have a lot of fun and praise the kids when they’re doing something right.”
…
Family time: “We play games and have a hockey rink in the basement. In the offseason, I’m around all the time. We hang out and go to parks, the playground, and The Magic House.”
