Just in case you weren’t already aware of it, the Olympics are really hard to qualify for. Normally you have to be freakishly athletic and dedicate your life to your craft. Now imagine the time has finally come, you give everything you have… only to tie. And it’s possible a coin flip determines who represents their country and who has to wait another four years…
That’s what Jeneba Tarmoh is going through. On June 23, 2012, Tarmoh and Allyson Felix tied for 3rd in the 100m sprint. The final qualifying spot will be decided in the form of a run off on Monday July 2. Thankfully, this isn’t the end all be all for either lady, as both are likely to qualify in other events.
Tarmoh was born and raised in California, but attended college at Texas A&M. It appears at some point during her stay in Texas she met her boyfriend Tony Hardy. According to her Facebook page, the two have been dating since February 14, 2011… yes, Valentine’s Day. All groans aside, the two have been going steady ever since. And while Tarmoh is hard at work on the track, Hardy is busy doing something quite the opposite – modeling. And the world of Playerwives has officially been turned upside down.
